ALIGN YOUR LINKEDIN PROFILE TO YOUR AUDIENCE AND CV

Your approach to your LinkedIn profile needs to be in many ways similar to the strategy you adopt when preparing your CV. ADJUST YOUR LINKEDIN PRIVACY SETTINGS

The last thing you want to do before you begin is alert your current employer to the fact that you are updating your profile (and therefore probably looking to move). • Select ‘Settings & Privacy’
  • Ensure that ‘Privacy’ is selected along the top
  • Click ‘How others see your LinkedIn activity’ in the column at left
  • Check the setting for ‘Share job changes, education changes, and work anniversaries from profile’
  • If it says ‘Yes’, click ‘Change’ immediately above it
  • Click ‘Yes’ to toggle it to ‘No’
  • Once it says ‘Saved’, click ‘Close’
  • All done!
