Our client is seeking Construction / Engineering Underwriters at all levels, from Underwriting Assistant to Senior to join their Sydney-based team. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a high-performing underwriting function that works closely with brokers and clients across Australia’s diverse construction landscape. 

The Role
  • Underwrite new and renewal business across project-specific and annual construction risks
  • Build and maintain strong broker relationships to support retention and growth
  • Maintain portfolio performance through strong technical assessments and commercial insight
  • (Senior candidates) Mentor others, contribute to strategy, and help uplift team capability
About You
  • Proven experience in construction or technical lines underwriting (Associate to Senior level)
  • Solid technical knowledge of construction risk and insurance products
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a broker-first mindset
  • Commercial acumen and a proactive, solutions-driven approach
  • (For senior roles) Leadership qualities and a track record of driving business outcomes
