We are seeking a dynamic Senior Farm Underwriter to join our clients Commercial Underwriting team. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Managing complex new business and renewals, providing technical support and leadership to regional underwriters and the broader underwriting team.
• Leading and coaching team members to develop their capabilities and build high-performing, collaborative teams.
• Overseeing workflows for complex accounts, ensuring quality service delivery across new business, policy maintenance, and renewals.
• Ensuring business alignment with divisional objectives and portfolio balance, focusing on both growth and profitability.
• Identifying profitable new business opportunities and maximizing the conversion and strike rates.
• Maintaining and strengthening relationships with broker partners, facilitating smooth renewal processes, and driving account retention.
• Conducting market intelligence through broker liaison, data review, and risk assessment to support strategic decision-making.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and industry accreditations as required.
• Experience in commercial underwriting, ideally with a focus on farm or property insurance.
• Strong background in underwriting or client management, with experience in either an insurer or broker environment.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and networks, enhancing industry positioning and knowledge exchange.
• A strong understanding of regulatory and legislative compliance requirements that impact the organization.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
