 About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced National Financial Lines Leader to join a leading Insurance Brokerage in Australia. This strategic role will involve overseeing and expanding the Financial Lines portfolio across multiple sectors. As the leader of this division, you will be tasked with building and leading a high-performing team, complementing the existing servicing team, and leveraging your extensive network to strengthen relationships with key insurance carriers.

• Attractive salary $220,000 - $280,000 negotiable DOE + short term incentives
• Can be based in Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane as this is a national role
• Full autonomy – reporting directly to the executive with full accountability for financial lines

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of the national Financial Lines strategy, focusing on a broad range of sectors including professional indemnity, directors & officers (D&O), cyber, management liability, and more.
• Build, mentor, and manage a growing team of specialists to deliver high-quality service and solutions to clients.
• Collaborate closely with the existing servicing teams, ensuring a seamless and client-centric approach to managing complex financial lines risks.
• Leverage an extensive network of international and domestic insurance carriers to negotiate optimal terms and enhance the company’s market position.
• Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and expanding the Financial Lines portfolio within existing and new client bases.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to ensure the brokerage remains competitive and innovative.
• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Financial Lines team.

  
Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in Financial Lines insurance across multiple sectors.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to build, develop, and lead a high-performing team.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian insurance market, with a preference for international market experience.
• Established network of relationships with key insurance carriers and industry stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence key decisions.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to drive business growth and operational excellence.
• Strong understanding of current market trends, regulatory environments, and emerging risks in the Financial Lines space.
