As part of our ongoing expansion, they are seeking a dynamic and driven General Insurance Broking Account Managers or Account Executives (looking for a step up) to focus on new business growth and contribute to our continued success in the global marketplace.
The RoleAs a Account Manager, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to drive new business, fostering relationships with potential clients and brokers. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and convert new business opportunities across various sectors, ensuring exceptional service and support throughout the sales process. This is a unique opportunity to work with a global team and play a pivotal role in the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities - New Business Development: Identify and target potential clients, utilizing market research, referrals, and networking to create a robust pipeline of new business.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers to understand their insurance needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Proposal Creation: Work closely with technical teams to develop and present competitive insurance proposals, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Negotiation and Sales: Lead negotiations with clients, brokers, and insurers to secure new business and drive profitable growth.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging risks to identify opportunities for new products and services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth transition from new business development to account management, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Reporting & Strategy: Provide regular updates on sales targets, pipeline, and performance metrics to senior management, contributing to the broader strategic growth initiatives.
Skills & Experience- Proven track record in general insurance broking, with a focus on new business growth
- Strong understanding of the insurance market, products, and solutions, with experience across commercial sectors.
- Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with a proactive, results-driven approach to business development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Relevant professional qualifications - Tier 1 (mandatory) and Diploma in Insurance would be advantageous.
